Members of the SD 500 are selected by SDBJ’s newsroom on editorial merit alone, thus representing the most influential and accomplished business leaders in the market. The San Diego Business Journal’s process for inclusion in the list involved asking for feedback from numerous industry experts. Evaluation criteria included merit, business savvy, and civic engagement.
